NEW STUFF

Debbie and I went to Whole Foods today. What an education! they have bison, beef, chicken and turkey in the butcher shop all graded by how the animal is raised. We got Grass-fed, pasture raised ribeye steaks. OMG!!! they were tender, rich, not fatty and had the most incredible flavor! the steak sauce sat unopened on the table. We also had shredded cabbage sauteed in  coconut oil with only salt, also yummy. We had sweet potato gluten free biscuits and for desert a little date and walnut bar the size of your pinky.  I love the food, the meat is extraordinarily expensive, but turned out to be worth it. I got wild caught salmon, and some wild caught Mahi. Tomorrow I am taking on the recipe for braised beef shank with sweet potato and orange. The picture looked amazing!

One thing.... I am staring to have sugar detox, which is the worst headache you can imagine, and it could last for days. Sadly the only thing that will diminish it is, sugar. My orange juice took the place of coffe this morning and I did OK.
This afternoon though, on the way home from the store, Debbie and I had a sudden adrenalin rush, as we came upon a small dog (puppy) in the center island running down a six lane highway. I began blowing the horn and waving at the cars behind, as I stopped in the road. We jumped out and stopped all the lanes and got the puppy safely into the car. We both had goosebumps and were absolutely HYPER.  we were so excited to have saved the puppy, after a few blocks, when the excitement died down, we both had throbbing headaches. And Debbie has a new puppy. at least it's not me! goodnight all!
