Quiet Thanksgiving

I pretty much spent this Sunday just like last Sunday. I did make a visit to Sam's Club with my friend, but that was it. I watched Alice in Wonderland in Hi Def, that was fun.
This year, Thanksgiving is not going to be the usual celebration I get to enjoy. I have a long standing invite to a friends house, where she and her hubby lay out a mighty spread for all their single friends. I count myself lucky to be among them. This year the Thanksgiving and Christmas festivities have been canceled. Their son was found early this week, passed on in the kitchen floor, and not discovered for a few days, at the age of 43. Dennis was always a hoot at the gathering, and best known for devouring the deviled eggs, and burying his pumpkin pie under a plate FULL of whipped cream. His dad was a sad broken man at the service. They were both so sad and hurting that I got physically disturbed being there. My head got all tight and hurty, and my stomach was queasy, I simply could not stay through the whole service, watching my friend cry like that.
The salon is undergoing some difficulty too, and a longtime relationship may be dying a slow painfull death there. I am trying to do the right thing, and keep a good face on, but I am sad at work too. Other times a little angry. The stress is getting to me ,right at the busiest time of the year.  I have decided to stop taking Monday and Tuesday off, and will be working Tuesdays for the rest of the season. Not happy about THAT< EITHER! But you gotta do what ya gotta do. Bee, got any corny sayings for that?? I could use one, cause I'm tired of telling myself that ygdwygd one.

I'm going to bed, it's after midnight.
grumble grumble harumph, grrrrr

Go to Bee's honey. That will be a good thing to do. I sure wish I could join you all. Just saying.

I hope whatever is going on at the shop resolves itself in the very near future. That kind of stress is awful.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hug from cold California. :)

Sorry to hear about your friends' son. That's rough. It is hard to see our friends in pain. You were there for a bit and I'm sure that means a lot. I agree that you should go to Bee's. It'll be good to be around friends.
