Happy Thanksgiving

here we are again, at another holiday that encourages us all to eat until we are sick (almost?), then wait a while and have another piece of pie!
I read on another blog, the speech that was given when Thanksgiving day was established.
To my surprise the truest meaning of this day is to (hold on to your politically correct religion-free hats...........) THANK GOD for His blessing, which is , of course, food, friends, and family, health and hearth. Another faith based holiday sold out to gluttony and greed (Black Friday). Where did GOD go in the story about the Pilgrims and the Indians?????
I am ,as usual, over-blessed. The salon has been like a madhouse (right Bee?!) and I have been thankful for the fortitude to work at least three 11 hour days last week, and honey, that is 11 hours standing and working straight through!! I remember asking several of my ladies to please kill me, and then we would laugh (yeah, he heh he) no- REALLY- KILL ME!!!!
It is over now and I will make it through till Christmas, and another mad house and then (BLISS!!) 4 WHOLE DAYS OFF!!!
The money has been good, and I am paying some bills off.
right now I am headed for the shower and then finish my side dish of fresh steamed squash topped with toasted buttered almonds and craisins, yummy!
So I decided to stop in here and wish you guys a calorie-laden Thanksgiving, and to let GOD know how much I appreciate my health, my wealth (even though I spend it right away!) My co-workers, my friends, and every tiny blessing he stacks on top of the big blessings
