A New Reality!

This week encouraged me a lot, quite a lot, actually!
It seemed to be the week of walk-ins. New clients that just wander in and ask to have their hair done are SOOO great! I mean, think about it..... how many people are just willing to wander in off the street, and subject their head to a total stranger??? Would you?. I don't think I would.
Anyway I had a total of a dozen new people this week. 4 on Wed, 3 on Thurs, 4 on Fri, and 2 on Sat.! that's amazing.
Jody is on vacation this weekend. I know she is having a ball. It is her first family vacation in many years. I am glad she is doing so well, and thrilled that she can have the money to enjoy herself. (me next!)
Another surprise was waiting for me! I listed chair rental vacancy on craig's list and got responses right away!! I was able to hire a stylist, that, like me has owned two salons and is booking 1200+ bucks a week. She is certainly tired of giving half of that to the salon. She will start soon, and has a huge following! She has a need for nail services, so she is bringing along a nail girl that will serve her clients, and mine too!!!! I cannot believe how the doors have opened for my tiny salon! Now the chair rentals alone will start to help pay off the salon debt. I am thrilled!!
I am thinking of two things, a vacation, or completely changing the floor plan, not sure which I will do first. But you can bet that I will get them both done!!!!!
