Thats not the point of this particular post!
It is a post about how an ordinary day got rather EXTRA-ordinary!
I saw a lovely, mature, immaculately dressed woman approaching my salon. Right in the door she came, and stood and looked around, caught my eye , pointed right at me, and said "I would like you to do my hair if you can". My answer is the same for everyone..... "of course I will". She made an appointment and returned the next day.
I learned that this vivacious lady is Marilyn Maye. She has been on Johnny Carson more times than ANY other female vocalist! She is performing at The Colony Hotel, Tomorrow is her last day, but for the past two weeks, I have been doing her hair twice a week, I think she is awesome!
Not because she is a celebrity, I am over fame. But because she is so alive at age 80, and living large, in a very gracious and beautiful way.
She told me that her favorite place to go here is the Festival Flea Market, I could not agree more, I love that place!!Tomorrow I will do her hair for the last time (on this visit) and she will fly to NY for an awards function, WITH MY HAIRDO ON! I hope like hell it holds up for her!!

I am always so inspired by older people who have maintained their youthful energy. She sounds awesome!
