My latest claim is.... "I have a duck in my shower"
The neighborhood kids brought me a little duck that had been dropped in the park behind my house. One of the BIG males decided she was his, and he pursued her till she ran yelling for help to the kids. He had pulled all the feathers right out of her head and most of her back. Her poor head was all bloody, and I knew the best thing was to let nature take it's course. I see this every year. But poor "Peaches" ( I named her, so you know there is trouble) is not quite an adult duck yet, and the site of her squawking, and that poor bald bloody head,; well, she needed a rest, so I took her in.
Now it seems she has a hurt foot after two days hanging around in my house ( crapping in the bathroom floor) I put her outside, and as she played in the little pool next door neighbor and I fixed up she seemed fine, but afterward she sat down and stayed there. I brought her back home and discovered her poor, aching foot. So just when I thought I was off the hook.....
I have a duck living in my bathroom. ( at least I transferred her to the (un)remodeled bathroom that has no toilet) for your viewing pleasure, I will tell you that she is resting inside the bottom cabinet of the old vanity, which has not been demo'd yet. That foot sticking out is the one that is hurt
Meet Peaches....
ANd just in case you don't know how she was before she got scalped, i have added a picture of a crested duck from the internet
she had a big pouffy "do" right where the boo-boo on her head is....:-(
