A new adventure

In the past, I had a rant about the alcoholic drug addicted salon owner for whom I work(ED!) A few months ago, I made him an offer to buy the salon. He took quite a while to say yes, then no, then yes, then no (you got the picture). This past Monday, he called and said "let's do it" I made the necessary adjustments to the contract I had been hanging on to and rushed to the salon. I called the other stylist to come down and witness the transaction.

In the following days, I have registered my fictitious name, started my FPL account, done my credit application to the landlord, designed and ordered the vinyl lettering for my window, which was delivered today.

Teresa and I have been cleaning and scrubbing and tossing stuff to rid the place of the memory of him. I don't mean to sound unkind, but that moron put us through hell for four years with his drunkenness and filth . We have essentially run the place all that time, while he has drunk himself almost to death. So now we have come to fruition, and have at last taken him out of the picture. A client came in today and said "the place looks so CLEAN!"
So, off we go, into a new chapter. The one thing that is so right is that I have worked in this plaza for many years. I have relationships with the other business owners that span almost ten years.
I think, if I play my cards right, I can do a lot with this little place.

Hi Lady
On this Memorial Day remember my friends who died for your freedom.

Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer “am I worth dying for?”~

I am so proud of you JoAnne. There is so much you can do with the shop and I know that you will. I hated when "he" came into the shop and now it is yours and Teresa's.

It will be an enjoyable experience now to come get my hair done.
