C-R-A-P!!

I was up til midnight defrosting my "frost-free" frige. The freezer is froze, but the Fridge part is only cool, nothing is COLD. It is 12 years old, and is giving me the death rattle, I fear. repair or replace?? that is the question?? crap....... oh yeah have a nice weekend, auuuugggghhhhhh!!!!!!

I might have good news for you. Sometimes refrigerators are left going so long that the stuff (??) in the back of the fridge freezes and disrupts the workings of the thing. So, you have to stick your stuff in a cooler and even stick some of the stuff in the oven (it is insulated) and defrost the freezer. You can hurry things along by putting a big pan of really hot water in the freezer. When everything is warm and dry --- the insulation in the back of the fridge and the water pipes to the ice maker are defrosted ---- then you can turn it back on and sometimes everything goes back to behaving like it should. I had it happen to me once in really hot weather from running too long --- and it was self defrosting, too. Hope you are not out looking for new ones ---- if so, stainless is the in thing.
