Well, the Empress Bee (OTHS) will be rejoining me shortly, here in Florida. According to my comments, I am to write about my dear Amber; an eight foot drop dead gorgeous red -tailed Boa. In my endeavor to rescue and rehab wildlife and exotic animals, I was asked to come to Amber's rescue several years ago, she was truely being abused kept in a dark box outside in the carport with no food, water, heat, or light in the winter months (which even in Florida is not good for her). She was a mess. She lives the good life now in a large cage outdoors (summer only) with a small pool, a loft and a hide box, big branches and live vines growing on and in the cage. The Empress actually asked to get aquainted with my little snakie-snake, much to my surprise (and her hubby's dismay)
The thing I like best about watching people who have never touched a live snake is the trance they go into when they feel the soft, supple skin that is covering nothing but muscle. They all get the same face, shock and amazed, and then a big smile and an "OH MY GOD!" the word slimey has no place for snakes, it should be reserved for my ex-boyfriends! te-he .
I just know there will be no living with her now that I have done as I was told, and she'll be giving me homework assignments from now on! Yes Miss Bee, I will tell them about the tortoises too, dont get your britches in a bunch!!
